Invalid Version Issue on Win2k Pro or Server:
Get bogus Lotus Domino version not high enough error similar to:
IBM Lotus Domino 6.0.3 or later must be installed on the same computer as IBM Lotus Sametime 6.51....

Possible Fix:
Edit registry on the Windows box and search for 'Domino'. Look for values pointing to wrong drive or wrong folder. Correct to right location to where Domino is installed.
Known registry entries:
HKLM\Software\Lotus\Domino\6.5
DataPath : REG_SZ : D:\domino6.5\data
Path: REG_SZ : D:\domino6.5

"Path not found" When Running Sametime install.
You get error path not found when attempting to run the 6.5.1 Sametime Fix Pack (IFP).

Possible Fixes
1. Issue could be DNAinst.dll not loading correctly. File has dependencies on Domino dlls that should be in the Domino install directory (e.g. D:\Lotus\Domino).
If the program finds older versions of the files from previous installations/upgrades of Domino in other locations first, it can cause installation to fail.
Its file dependencies are: nnotes.dll, nxmlpar.dll, nxmlcommon.dll, js32.dll, ndgts.dll, nlsccstr.dll, and lcppn21.dll.

Check your path entries in your environmental Path variable(s). Look in these locations starting with the \windowsversion\system32 folder.

2. Replace server.id. User posted in Sametime Forum on 8/17/04 that he was able to get this issue to go away by putting down a replacment server.id in the data directory.

Cannot Administer the Server from Web (stcenter.nsf link) After Install / Upgrade:
Issue appears when user attempts to authenticate.
Instead of entering Server Overview page, user is given another login screen.

Possible Fixes:
Issues is generally one of the following:

1. ACL is setup wrong on stconfig.nsf database. Check access and roles.

2. Setup changes session authentication to multi-server. If not previously set-up/needed, set session back to just "single server".
Notes:
This is changed in the server document - -> Internet Protocols tab if using R5 Web Configuration. If using Internet Sites, Got to the Web Site document.
If you do want to use multiserver installation see this doc on setting up your LPTA token: Database 'Support Reference', View 'Support Library\By Category', Document 'Cannot Login to Lotus Instant Messaging (Sametime) Box After Initial Setup'.

3. Domino hostname does not match.
This is usually an issue with the hostname as entered in the following places:
1. The Basic's tab (Lotus support mentions this location and the next one).
2. The actual machine's network name (for Windows --> Start -- Control Panels - Network --> Contiguration tab --> TCP/IP settings --> DNS Configuration tab --> Edit the Domain Suffix.
3. The TCPIP hostname in the Ports tab of the Server document instead. Once I had to fix it in the host name(s) field in the web server configuration itself.

2. Hostname cannot be found in DNS. If the FQDN name is not in DNS you have to make the server think it is.
Edit the hosts file ( .../system32/drivers/etc/hosts) and added the full (FQDN) address to the 127.0.0.1 or add a new line with the server's address.
Note: I would prefer to add to the 127.0.0.1 line, however I have had to sometimes do a separate line. See Database 'Support Reference', View 'Support Library\By Category', Document 'Sametime Services Not Loading Starting at stcommunity.exe / "Cannot evaluate local IP" error in sametime.log' for you are having an issue loading stcommunity.exe.

SERVER NAME AND/OR LANGUAGE ERROR
See the following options:
1. Sametime (6.5.1) on a partitioned Domino server and report one or both of the errors above. Don't do it.
2. For server language match. Verify 1st you are using the same language. Next verify the design of the Domino Directory has been upgraded to 6.5.1 or higher.
