Issue:

ESXi and vCenter Remote Console and Web Console not working for newer VM OS machines.
(MS Windows 11 with latest updates, Ubuntu 24.0.4, Ubuntu 26.0, and RHEL 9.x and RHEL 10, and CentOS Stream 9.x)

The web console on vCenter stays black, or has a spinning loading icon that never loads. No JavaScript console errors, XHR/SDK call errors, and no Network tab errors.
The web console options on ESXi turn grey and never loads. No JavaScript console errors, XHR/SDK call errors, and no Network tab errors.
The remote console on vCenter and ESXi may stay black with spinning loading icon that never loads, or turn from black to gray screen and never loads.

Partial Workaround:

If using the Web Console (separate window option) or the Remote Console, we can send a <cntl><alt><del> sequence which will wake up the screen finally. However, most of the time, the mouse/cursor and keyboard still are not functioning. If a Linux machine without a GUI and is already logged in, sending a <cntl><c> will issue that command in the Terminal window, but still not allow keyboard input.

Closing and re-opening the remote console, and waiting for 1 to 2 minutes, and then waking the VM up again, will typically finally allow input. Supposedly this only occurs with VMs whose OSs are set to sleep their screen. But this happens with console only/terminal only VMs, too.

Broadcom has a fix for VCF 9.0.1 out. See technote: 401158.
