Task:
We have artwork bigger than an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper that we want to print "full size".
We need Tiling. How do we do that again . . .

In this example our artboard size is 12x24. We will need multiple tiled pieces.
Our printer an, HP model, has 8.5x11 paper media.

Steps:
1. Set the Artboard to the desired final size of the artwork piece.
Window --> Artboard

2. Open the Print dialog.
File --> Print

3. Create a new custom Print Preset.
a. Choose the Printer.
b. Choose the printer PPD.
c. Choose the General tab on the left, if not already selected. Under General:
- Change the Media Size to US Letter to match our paper size, if not already selected.
- Under Media Size, Auto Rotate is generally preferred for Orientation. If you artwork is not in that orientation, then un-check and change the paper Orientation as desired.
- Under Options, change the Scaling option from, Do Not Scale, to Tile Full Pages.
- Still under Options, change the Overlap from 0 in, to 0.25".
- Still under Options, make sure the Scale is set to 100%.

Notes:
If you'd like to not bother with a fixed overlap, you can choose Tile Imageable Areas (instead of Tile Full Pages) and the print will use the printer's maximum print area instead.

If the Tile Full Pages is greyed out, you likely have more than one artboard. Under General, change the Artboards from All, to Range, and adjust the number to just the artboard(s) desired: 1 (for the first artboard), or 2 (for the second one).
