Issue:
Have Linksys LRT224 or LRT214 with enabled OpenVPN server and VPN user created.
The downloaded OVPN file doesn't work with Open VPN client, nor the Tunnelblick OpenVPN client because of a configuration parsing error.
Console Log Message:
File'/Users/myid/Desktop/client1_12345678.ovpn' contains one ore more NUL characters.
The file dies in the commandOptionsStatusForOpenvpnConfigurationAtPath.
Resolution:
Opening the ovpn file in Text Edit doesn't display any issues. Moved on to a better editor that doesn't make improvements.
Opening the ovpn file in Atom shows a bunch of empty lines between tags, and removed the empty lines. Noticed the text ?IU text at bottom of file, and that the ? was a special character. Thinking this was probably it, left it to be sure. Confirmed that profile error still exists. Opened the ovpn file in vi via command Terminal, and confirmed that before the IU are one or two special characters. Removed the line. The file imported.
