vRA/vRO Startup Order:
1. Start MS SQL
2. Disable Health Check all load balancers
- Leave pings enabled
3. Start all vRA appliance instance(s)
- Start at same time, and wait 15 minutes
- Verify services running
4. Start All IAAS Web Server node(s)
- Wait for start-up to finish
- Start-up secondary web nodes if existing
5. Start Manager Service node(s)
- Wait 2 to 5 minutes to start-up
6. Start DEM Orch, DEM Workers, and vRA Proxy Agents nodes
- Any order, no need to wait on another
7. Check all Load Balancers
- Check LBs working/routing
- Re-enable Health Check on the load balancers
Verify VAMI:
vraappliance.mydomain.com:5480/
Shutdown Order:
1. Stop DEM Orch, DEM Workers, and vRA Proxy Agents nodes
- Any order, no need to wait on another
- Wait for all to finish
2. Shutdown the Manager Service node(s)
- Wait to finish
3. Shutdown all secondary Web IAAS Server node(s)
- Wait to finish
4. Shutdown secondary vRA appliance(s)
- Wait to finish
5. Shutdown primary/master vRA appliance
- Wait to finish
6. Shutdown MS SQL service and VM
- Wait to finish
