All Direct Dials Not Using Directory Ring First Extension

Issue:
At the IVR, clicking the 1, 2, 3, whatever rings the proper Ring Groups okay. However, entering the extension of the person is not working. The first extension is dialed regardless the extension number dialed.

Cause:
We didn't know it, but after an upgrade, Asterisk/FreePBX changed the default functionality for an IVR field.

Solution:
1. Login to your phone system.
2. Choose Applications --> IVR
3. Click the Edit icon to edit the IVR.
4. Update the field, Force Strict Dial Timeout, to No - Legacy.
5. Click Submit at the bottom.
6. Click the red box to Apply Changes.
7. Try out the IVR again.
