Browsers cache documents. You can affect the caching via the HTTP cache meta tag.
The page index.html and the page Index.html are two different pages on a UNIX box. Therefore, they are two different pages to the browser, too.
The same is true for included style-sheets, and other objects within URL / HREF tags within the source HTML of the page. In other words, the stylesheet and/or JavaScript code you load within a HTML document, even from a Windows server, will be treated as different stylesheet files if you vary your spelling within those HREF tags.
This can cause a performance issue on busy servers. Verify that your case is correct.
