Issue:
Opnsense Versions: 21.7.x, and 22.7.x
When adding another Host Override for internal DNS overrides, the Unbound doesn't seem to come back up after it's "soft" restart.
Workaround:
1. Add the new host entry
- Services --> Unbound DNS --> Overrides
- Create the new host entry and click the Save button at the bottom.
2. Go to the Unbound DNS General page and Save/Apply the page again:
- Services --> Unbound DNS --> General
- Make no changes, but click the Save button.
- Click Apply at the top.
3. Return to the Overrides page and click Apply again.
- Services --> Unbound DNS --> Overrides
- Click Apply at the top.
4. To verify, perform a Ping test of the external server being reached by its internal NAT'd IP.
$ ping myserver.mindwatering.net
<output should show the internal 10.x number instead of the external IP>
